How to properly reset vehicle spawns?

Hi,

We recently rented a managed DayZ server, but it is looking like it is a 'recycled' server: There are tank traps, sandbags and barbed wire in all the major towns, and vehicles are nowhere to been seen.

What does one do in cases like this? Rebooting the server doesn't seem to reset things, or is this something that needs to be done in-game with admin commands?

We're not looking for any advantage, but would like to start off with a clean slate for everyone.

first off when u find a vehicle u can "save it " so after rebooting server, only the loot will reboot, second of all, All the "clans" on the server have probably take all the vehicles so far north you can go , and hide it in the woods. gl hf to find them... they will only respawn if they crash it :)

Vehicles should despawn if not used after 7 days...

As for the rest i believe u are stuck with them, as they will reappear at server restarts

One more thing, can anyone tell me the difference between:

-restarting the server from the control panel my hosting company provides

-using the #restart admin command

-using the #reassign admin command

Or do they all do the same thing?

You should be able to have the hosting company erase the server completely so it resets the sandbags tanktraps and vehicles. Shoot them a message and see if they can. At most they would have to erase the dayz server files and the personal data it creates for the vehicle tent and all those other pesky things and then reinstall it

Yeah, we sent them a support ticket, but several days have passed and we haven't heard anything from them. (Dayzhosting.com)

might be low priority, or they might be busy updating all thier servers for the new patch. Thats the problem with these new server hosters. I know they are one of the bigger ones, but still has nothing on the normal game hosters.

They're finally getting around to it for us. Definitely have to plan ahead if you want your own server. If I had to do this again, I would have made the order on a monday so I'd have a chance of having a playable server by the weekend.
