Admin team cheating on Norway 22

He had some team of 3 other players, and I can't know if all the cheating on the server was associated to these four players, anyone else on the server, or if all was commited by "wat? Talon".

(wat? Lost one, wat? Khsolheim (He was admin...) don't rember the last one.)

Time; Around 23:00 GMT + 1 Local. Severtime, GMT -8. that would be 9 hours earlier, 14:00 during the day?

What happened?

We had a LAN, so I did infact see this with my own eyes.

It began with me looting some camp in the great north. When suddenly silent fire started hitting the ground around me. Did not hear any gunshots, just bullets flying at me, this was quite legit though, he could aswell be shooting at me from 100 m with Bizon.

My squadmate was hiding ontop of a mountain 350 meters away. Having clear view on me, he saw bullets hitting ground around me, and looked around the forest around me after possible threats. Note that my friend was hiding on a whole diffrent mountain, even farther north, with no targets around, in the woods, with a guille suit, and with no points of interest around him. Shortly after bullets began raining on him too, eventhough he was far out of sight and hidden well This was really really odd.

Then my third squadmate comming to help us from the east was shot with 1 silent bullet and died. He was 2 kilometers away from our current location. This happened mabe 30 sec after our sniper was shot at.

We heard no gunshots, saw no one, and was found awkwardly easy.

We tuaght this would be cheating.

BUT as the third squadmate went corpserunning from southren airtstrip he found a newly spawned bandit sitting on the shore, he walked up to him and asked whats up.The bandit was; wat? Talon

Penti ( My friend) "Hey, are you a friend of the admin?"

Talon "Why do you want to know?"

Penti "I was wondering if there was any cheaters on the server..."

Talon "Maybe..."

Talon "Wait, can you see me?"

Penti "Yeah, I can see you...?"

Talon "What the fuck..."

Talon "Well, I can't move, I'm stuck, can you shoot me?"

And so Penti shot him.

Later as Penti was running trough Electro we saw a rain of helicopters and other random huge anomalious explotions and firestorms.

We want this looked into, as this was our favorite server.

Exactly the same happened to lostone, sylvan and me twice on the same day as you hade your bad experience. We also suspected someone cheating, but without any clear evidence we couldn't take any action. We have requested access to the logs from our server host and hopefully in the future we will be able to take retroactively action.

The reason Talon was asking if your friend could see him was because every time he re-spawned, he was underground and couldn't move. We spent most of that night running up and down the coast killing Talon, trying to free him from the ground.

Later as Penti was running trough Electro we saw a rain of helicopters and other random huge anomalious explotions and firestorms.

Can't comment on this since I wasn't online, but please report obvious cheating to dayz@solhe.im and we'll look into it.

Yesterday we implemented server-side event blocking, hopefully this should reduce the amount of hacking going on our server.

We want this looked into, as this was our favorite server.

We hope you once again will consider Norway 22 your favorite server.

I'm part of the "wat?" group being called into question and I want to sound off regarding these accusations as well.

All I can say in our defense is: we do not cheat. We're as bothered by the rampant cheating in this game as you guys are. In the last couple of weeks we've seen our squad wiped by invisible fire, players teleported to our location, thunderdomes, impossible headshots, insta-kills, and hacked-in helicopters. We've found camps with masses of obviously hacked in or duped gear (who has 12 L85s stacked in a tent?) and, on one particularly aggravating occasion, had a huge battleship teleported right on top of us just outside of the northwest airfield by one majorly obnoxious hacker who I yelled at on direct comm and tried to shoot point blank but instead ended up dead the second I opened fire. So trust me, we're in the same amount of rage regarding hackers as you are. These pathetic losers are destroying the game for everyone.

In this particular case I'm afraid you guys have put two and two together and got a five. While I agree that the attack you came under in the north sounds suspicious, and very similar to several attacks we have come under ourselves, Talon definitely had nothing to do with it. I know this because we had spent the entire evening running back and forth on the coast trying to free him from a glitch that made him spawn (at least from his viewpoint) a meter underground, unable to move. This is what caused him to ask your buddy Penti if he could see him and mercy-kill him.

I do however fully welcome an inquiry into this if the devs deem it neccessary. As Ksolheim mentioned above we're trying to look into the matter ourselves, but this is a hosted server and the request to access the logs is taking a while.

Hopefully the new BattleEye anti-cheat scripts will improve matters. I hope to see you guys on the (cheat free) battlefield some other time!

Thank you Ksolheim for your polite answer, I withraw any accusations on your teamate, and I believe you.

But you need to understand my supersitions and path of conclusion.

Thank you Sylvan for your response, we look forward to remain loyal to this server. It is a great relief for both me and my team to hear that the doubts about a cheating admin team was all false and that we can continue to use this server without fear of corrupt leadership among the peacekeepers. I'm very sorry, and a bit embarrassed about this accusation on you and your team. And I am glad we could keep this conversation fantasticly civilized and with good manners.
