toxicsludge 406 Posted August 14, 2012 Since I never got into minecraft, the minecraft pricing model is foreign to me. I understand the SA alpha will be 'heavily discounted', but will this be the only payment? Or do you have to pay for every 'major' release? Thanks!
nano27 15 Posted August 14, 2012 I only had to pay for Minecraft Beta once at a discount. That doesn't mean DayZ will work exactly the same way though (unless it was mentioned somewhere that it will be the same).
Turr 17 Posted August 14, 2012 The Minecraft model works something like this: you pay a heavily discounted price for alpha, for example €7,- , and the price increases when it gets closer to version 1 of the game. By doing this they'll have some money while still developing the game and early buyers will have the game for a discounted price. Rocket said the final price will probably be around 15/20$ , just like minecraft.
toxicsludge 406 Posted August 14, 2012 Thanks, I will be in on the ground floor, so it should be exceptional value!
