First try disconnecting and reconnecting. Chances are, that will fix it.

If that does not fix it, swim NW.

If you're off the south coast, just keep heading south. I hear there's a secret island with an army base on it with a load of sweet gear.

What do you mean? Make sure you do try connecting again, it will save you hours of swimming.

There is no knowing. If it was a hacker that put you in this mess, then you will end up somewhere between solnichny and elektro I would say. Most hackers port people to the bottom right of the map now, so swimming NW is your best option.

If you're going to try to swim to shore, make an autorun/swim hotkey or something, and just wedge something in there then go to bed :P
