Casual Hacks.

Recommended Posts

So I joined up with a decent guy over skype off the forums. After an attempted ambush on us by two bandits, we both came out alive with 2 bandit kills and there gear.

So we are slowly making our way up to stary through the forest, I notice we come across a cabin with dead zombies. I crouch down and let the other guy know there is someone nearby, all of the sudden he starts yelling he's behind us. I turn around to see a survivor with the hero skin, I lower my weapon and ask on DC mic "Friendly?" he replies yes. What a relief, not many people get the jump on you and are friendly to boot, guy came outa no where.

So I end up getting a good look at the hero skin I'm striving for and drop a ghillie as I had an extra one on me, to which he replies "No thanks I like hero skin" (typing by the way). Alrighty so we talk for a moment then he starts looking at the ground and bending in a weird fashion. I start on my way as I say goodbye he just casualy spawns a helicopter right infront of us and flys off into the sunset.

I lean back and cant help but laugh at this silly situation. "Atleast he didn't kill us" is all I could think of at the time, then I said we should probably jump off this server incase he has a mood swing and decides he likes the bandit skin better.

But I guess as far as hackers go, and how frequent they are, this has been a good night.

Picture relevant. As it pretty much describes DayZ at the moment lol.

lol.

Recently I was playing with two other guys. One of them sees this guy on a hill and he goes up to see him. The guy spawns him a helicopter and about 100 Jerry cans of fuel. The guy says "there you go" and then spawns an SUV and drives into Cherno where my other mate was. My mate comes out calling friendly thinking he would leave him alone as he was a helpful hacker. The guy gets out of his vehicle and unloads a clip into him. Unlimited power sure does make you a little bit unpredictable.

I would sincerely like to interview a hacker over skype. Record it with fraps, make it completely anonymous. Not provide any details or report them.

I just want to know what drives some people to hack in a game where the whole entertainment value is based on survival.

I would call it "Into the mind of a ***er" and I'd like to do multiple segments and upload them to youtube.

I'd even change there voice to that deep scary shit so they remain anonymous like those gang documentary shows.

Yes...yes I will do that. I know there is a hacker out there right now reading this, go to my profile and look at my skype name, add me.

Let's get this into the mind of a hacker on the go.

Ok, first of all you are wrong in calling them hackers.

They aren't hackers, they are script kiddies. They probably either bought their script injector or are using a public one.

If you could actually interview a real hacker, that would be interesting.

But other than that, all the answers you will get are "I was bored" or "I liek to grief dem n00bs, lulz"

Easy Sailor!!

Of course I don't believe that they are coming up with some elaborate code to cripple DayZ and rule with and iron fist, while at the same time hacking into the pentagon.

I call them hackers because that's just what a lot of people call em. And into the mind of a script kiddie would make me sound like im interviewing a pedofile or something.

But I genuinely believe that it has to be something more then "I was bored so I got scripts". I mean, I'm sure there might be some deep reasons out there, never know.

You'd be really suprised what you'd find then.

I suggest you do this then, it will show you the face of the game "hacking" world.

A bunch of spoilt children with to much time on there hands and their parents credit card handy.

Don't get me wrong, I heavily respect those that actually write the programs and do the reversing.

I personally would like to learn from them, being a coder myself.
