feriluce 2 Posted May 28, 2012 So yesterday I played this game with other people for the first time. I jumped on the TS with my old TG arma buddies, and the ~10 of us had cherno on lockdown, allowing us to freely raid, the firestation, church, store and hospital. It was quite fun and I did enjoy myself, however it also made me realize something. We had free access to all the supplies we could ever want, we had basically "won" the game. The other other thing we could do would be to try and find a car or helicopter and fix it up, but why would we need it?This brings me to my main point. I think there is a lack of goals you can set for yourself, or content if you will. I feel that there needs to be more things that groups of people can work towards. It would probably also help somewhat with the deathmatch situation at the coast. We were shooting everyone in cherno because we basically had nothing else to do. If we had had something meaningful to work towards we might have done that instead.One example I can come up with off the top of my head would be to have the ability to build some sort of fortified base, with various benefits to doing so.Edit: Before anyone yells at me that this is just an alpha. Zombies need to be tougher, less laggy and more interesting (see my zombie - fixing them thread)2. the ability for a player(s) to establish a little base of operations, restrict zombie spawnage, hide/protect from other players, benefit from it (perhaps some kind of water/food extraction so that you won't need to go loot towns AS OFTEN.3. The sickness system needs to work better. I havent seen a single sick player.It would be great if your untreated sickness would eventually lead to dying and becoming a zombie.4. more benefits of living longer. i'm sure people have great ideas. nerfed 8 Posted May 28, 2012 I agree, I often wonder why I would even want better items. The Makarov kills zombies with a single headshot/3 bodyshots, and ammo is piss easy to find for it. It's also good enough for defending yourself against players.Coast nubs will be coast nubs, and bandits will be bandits. If you have gotten used to this game, you should be able to take on the coast nubs, and you don't stand much of a chance against the pro night vision DMR eleet skillz bandit, regardless of your gear.But here's the catch; everyone else just doesn't give a shit if all you have is a Makarov. On the other hand, if you have all dat eleet gear, people will often take the shot on you any chance they get. You have special shit from the NW airfield, they only have a revolver and lee enfield... Free stuff for them!So at the end of the day, somehow, the goal of this game is to resist the temptation of powerful weapons.
