Heli crashes?

Are they less common in the new patch or am i just really unlucky?

You're just unlucky. The spawns are almost completely random. I'm still finding them at a usual rate.

Haven't had any problem finding them personally, between 2 servers and a few hours of gameplay last night I stumbled upon 3 unlooted and 1 looted without even specifically looking for them. Sadly only found Bizons, M14's and both FN-Fal varients on all 4 of them.

Ok i have ran between NW airfield and stary sobor like 15 items on 15 different servers and i have seen non.

We found three separate ones on one server so they seem to be fairly prevalent.

Agreed, if I hadn't been carrying an L85 and a DMR in my backpack already I might have considered it. Was praying for an AS-50 and some NVGs but no joy.

I stumbled on 3 crash sites all around the gorka area yesterday. 1 was looted 2 were fresh.

1 had an as50 and L85. I was screaming like a girl. Other site had a fal and bizon. I wanted to take the bizon but had no room. With the ammo bug now fixed, not even sure a bizon is worth it. Maybe if they make it able to use mp5/mp5sd ammo. I do love mp5sd and bizon guns. I'm not into sniping and prefer medium to close range combat.

Give me anything with a holo or silencer and i'm happy.

speaking of, i'm down for trading the as50 for a bizon IF there's lots of mags with it. I'd also take a m14 or one of the LMGs. I still never even used any of the LMGs yet...

I've only found one heli crash and it was without trying, the only 2 things I found on it were NVGs and camo clothing.

I've gone heli-hunting about 4 times now and haven't found a single one.

I'm what you'd call unlucky. :(

Oh and I've got almost 100 hours played in DayZ

Sometimes I'll go a couple days without seeing one, some nights we'll find 4 or 5. I've seen enough FN FALs to last a lifetime. Three L85A2(Ain't we lucky), 2 FN FAL AN/PVS-4, and a M249 SAW, couple MP5A5, MP5A5SD, 2 Bizons maybe and only one Ghillie suit. (Maybe 30 total)

I've found at least 30 heli crash sites over the weeks and ALL of them were near Stary Sobor and Novy.

NEVER EVER seen one anywhere else.
