Where do I get 1.62.95819 from?

I keep getting this and it says I'm on 1.62 and need that version.

You need to update it yes!

Get it and run it. Wich ever you want, you can run never and still play on that server

sometimes, it put the files in

*\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta

and they should be in:

*\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead

if you dont run steam just ignore the steam part ofc :)

or update it with six updater.

if you want 1.7.2.5 dayz to run at the same time and start using six launcher (or you can still connect with the normal browser in arma2oa if thats prefered)

No, the above poster gave you the correct link. Since you are already on 1.62 version, you will only need a new beta patch.

Happens on most servers now.

But I have the latest 883 beta patch and I have the latest dayz version and I have 1.62.

On that server select screen, Press "Cancel" and take a picture of the menu screen, and post it here so we see what version you are running.

Also. How do you open DayZ? Using a shortcut or directly from steam?

Take the files that is in that folder, and copy them out into

" *\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ "

just dont copy the @DayZ folder, as that one in there will probably be 1.7.2.4 :)

Oh sorry yeh had to copy and paste the beta exe to the main folder, forgot I did that to get it to work in steam

lol now I have the right version and can connect to servers I get stuck on the loading screen again like it did when 1.7.2 or whatever came out :\

Actually you shouldn't do that... It installs fine, and to a right folder, but you want to launch it with

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -skipIntro -mod=@DayZ

You need to add a non-steam shortcut if you want to launch it from steam and/or get Steam Overlay, there should be a "Launch arma 2 beta" shortcut on your arrowhead folder after installing the beta patch, add that to steam library and edit it, rename it to DayZ perhaps, change the Target to the line above and the "Start" field needs to be

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\

and NOT C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\

That way you won't always have to copy the patch over just install it and play the game again, and steam won't restore it at any point etc.
