Working together

In my opinion there NEEDS to be an alternative to shooting someone on sight. There needs to be some benefit to working together with a group to do something. Build a town, reinforce a town, something. The game's at a point where you just shoot anyone you see regardless of what they're doing. I've given someone a gun and they've just shot me with it. This isn't right. There should definitely be a pvp feel to the game but there also needs to be some flow to the game. I've not gotten past the 1st day purely because of pking. Something as simple as checking a hospital for supplies gets you killed.

1.7.2.5 goes a long way to begin addressing this, they have re-introduced the bandit skins and also introduced a hero skin, your humanity will determine which skin you will wear however it does help by now showing people what sort of person you are, ie a bandit then perhaps shoot first ask questions later, but if you come across a hero there is a good chance he might help or least avoid you.

Well Try to find a group before going into town, a lot of players like you post on the forums looking for a group. I like the idea of accutally being able to do something with a group but then again it has a LOT of cons. Huge clans could just go and take over all the big towns, whats the fun of that?

Clans taking over towns would make more sense than how the world is at the moment. I've rarely seen any desire for cooperation only sensless killing. Once again I'm for pvp but you're trying to get supplies and get shot at so I know my first instinct is to alt f4. Apparently that's the wrong thing to do, but I'm getting shot for no reason while gathering medical supplies I don't want to lose all of my progress because some dude decided he wanted to shoot me for no reason.

You have to remember that it is always going to be better with a team than with solo. Usually when teams have been established, they are only going to let a few people in, if that. This game is completely about trust and a lot of people just don't trust others. Some people just get scared if they see another person in this game and shoot from being scared. I have countless stories of trust in this game, but recently there was a man who was unarmed and had broken legs. I talked to him through direct comm and told him I would get him morphine. We went scavenging through Elektro and he found an axe. The only thing that I had was an axe and a few tins cans yet he started chopping away at me. We both died and it was pretty pointless... You just can't really trust many people in this game, and the ones that you do trust are usually going to have to prove their trust.

I think there are three main things that would help this problem of people not working together.

Firstly we need to stop people from being able to horde and save things (no tents, no vehicle saves, no getting someone to pick up your stuff for you or picking it up from your dead body), if death meant you lost everything and started again with literally zero then people would be a lot more cautious about shooting at each other.

Second, Healing from injury should be a slower process. If you get hit while fighting a player you will easily kill and it means that for a couple of hours you can only walk or pass out from time to time then you would be very careful about getting even a small injury. The problem is two people fight and one minute later the winner is fine again even if he got hit two or three times.

Thirdly, I think we need a lot less loot and a very basic economy model (even if it is just barter based). If you needed to interact with others to get basic things to survive there would be a lot more team work going on.

Just my thoughts on the matter, nothing written here is perfect or a silver bullet cure. just things I feel would go a long way to getting people to work together.

If a building is barb wired of except one door and searched the zombies should not respawn inside unless the building is temporarily empty same goes for sealed off citys
