How do you install 1.7.2.5

i no you cant install it through six launcher yet, so how else can you do it.

UnRar it to the appropriate directory.

-if you use Steam the directory may be -> c:/program files/steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead/@dayz/

-if you do not have steam the directory may be -> c:/program files/bohemian interation/arma 2 operation arrowhead/@dayz/

congratulations, you installed 1.7.2.5

do not run Six Launcher, doing so will overwrite 1.7.2.5 with 1.7.2.4

you will need to use another launcher or the Arma 2:CO multiplayer options

I got tired of six launcher and downloaded Dayz Commander which someone else uses and it keeps everything up to date, you can give that a try.

Whatever you do don't update to 1.7.2.5.. Especially if you value your vehicles, equipment in the vehicles, tents, your backpack (skin changing bug), and if you like to not log in on the coast..

Hmmm, I have been using it all day so far, try going into the versions menu in it and update to the current patches and see if that helps.

96.4mb's for the .rar file? Is this right? I'm doing this because at the moment I'm on 1.7.2.4 but having no luck with any server version I try. All of them leave me stuck on the loading screen indefinitely. Does this update fix this problem?

I'm using sixlauncher and have no desire to use commander, I tried it but went back to six.

Just use the link this fellow gave us to download 1.7.2.5 if you want and override the folder in your C:/ ... folder

You CAN run SixLauncher, all you have to do is:

1) Open SixLauncher

2) DO NOT VERIFY

3) After just opening it, click server you'd like to join and double click it to join.

4) If it's a 1.7.2.5 server, it will say your system isn't the same version and asks you if you'd like to join anyway, click Yes.

5) Have fun with the new version.

1.7.2.5 is not supposed to be widley spread. That's why SIX only provides 1.7.2.4. We've been asked by Rocket to NOT offer 1.7.2.5 at all.

I guess there is reasons for that. :)

Thanks for such explaining is great detail... I download the files then what? I just put them in a random location in my @Dayz folder?

The reason I love six launcher is I don't specifically have to understand what I am doing and it works. I've been an advent PC gamer most of my life, but I simply like to know, "where the fuck and I putting these files specifically and why/where/how/etc..."
