Store the flashlight

Recommended Posts

Came across my first flashlight in DayZ over the weekend and up until then had no idea it has to take a weapon slot

as far as what I would do in real life... I'd put that in my backpack until it was dark

would be so much better if we could carry it and not occupy a weapon slot until it's used, unless it's restricted by the game design?

Ideally it'd be strapped to your vest but it's not easily implemented.

Not even talking about

Basically, find a G17 or Remington.

Which is kinda ridiculous, considering, how small a flash light is. It should not need that much space in the backpack.

Because of this, I don't even bother picking them up. Also, using them tends to get you killed quite quickly.

In terms of how useful it can be to helping you travel through the night I have no issue that it takes up a secondary or couple of spaces in my backpack, I still have my primary :)
