Unplayable Lag = Starting Over?

When I first started playing the game, everything went smooth. Then out of the blue one day I had this horrible lag. From other player's perspective it looked like I was playing hopscotch. As for me, it was like I was running on 1 fps.

I tried changing a bunch of things but none of them would work. Knowing my system was completly able to handle the game as I've been playing for a few weeks before this started happening, I decide to try a clean install of both Arma 2, Arma 2 CO, and the DayZ mod. I could play just fine for a few days, and then that lag would come back. Fresh install again, few days of playbility, then the lag returned. Currently reinstalling again to try to fix this.

The weird part is, the menu also lags when I'm not in a server. The game lags, and others can see me skipping around.

A fresh install every week is very bothersome, and it's the only solution I can find that works.

Happens to me from time to time. It usually differentiates between doing it because I run it through 6launcher or steam. Try doing both and see if it fixes.
