DayZ spikes my latency up on new PC. D/C's me.

Recommended Posts

I just build a new PC which includes

I5 3570K

Radeon 7850

8GIGs ram

Asrock Z77pro4-m

775 watts

Netis WF-2113 300mps wireless-N PCIe adapter

320 gig hardrive

windows 7

comcast internet.

When i load up into a server on DayZ, my latency spikes up while it says "waiting for Host" which then it lags my internet completely, i d/c from Ventrilo, Skype, What ever is up. the weird thing is, if i disconnect my internet and connect back up, it will load me into the server, but then if i go to hit OK. it will just do the same thing.

My old PC i built was terrible at handling this game, but would not do this to me at all.

Afterwards, my internet becomes extremely slow for a few minutes.

Even if i play other games like League of Legends or The Stress test for GW2, i would have no problem getting into them, and run well.

Does anyone have an ideas why this does it? or if there are any settings i can change to give more priority to DayZ for internet?

any help would be great!

Experiencing the same problem. When I connect to DayZ, it starts to spike my connection, sometimes dc me from mumble, etc. As soon as I dc from dayz server, spikes stop. Im sure it wasnt happening before as I was playing dayz day and night for like a month
