sgtcuddles 24 Posted August 12, 2012 I feel like a game like this one in standalone should utilize every terrain that presents itself. What a waste it is to have a body of water just for cruising around in a boat from coastline to coastline, lets see some SCUBA gear in the standalone. I want to be able to jump off my pbx fully suited ready to raid a coastal town from the harbor, or sneak up on an unsuspecting island camper, or steal someones boat as they refuel. If someone wants to experience a full on freeroam create your own story game, then I believe we should be able to experience every single terrain that presents itself in the game from mountain tops, high in the sky in a plane/chopper, valleys, rivers, and of course like I said underwater areas. If you can swim in the water why not be able to dive in it as well. New items introduced with this concept would be scuba gear, air compressor(tank refill), wet/dry suit(for survival in the waters, could also be used for just staying warm when swimming from island to coast), spear gun(could be used for fishing if they decide to add fish as a food source, and possibly as a land weapon for funny kills). Im just trying to optimizing the amount of options a player can have in this type of game. I would love to hear everyones constructive criticism
Zodiac13 173 Posted August 12, 2012 From what I have heard they are making the stand alone with the same engine as Arma 3 which does have underwater game play and scuba suits. So the chances of those items showing up are fairly good.
sgtcuddles 24 Posted August 12, 2012 Thats good to hear. Its not like its a huge thing that needs to be added, its just another form of tactics and gameplay.the more options there are the better the game will become
