Disabling weapons of another player

My suggestion is quite simple: If you approach an unconcious player, you get an option that says: destroy weapons. You can do that with any player that has his hourglass counting down.

There are a multitude of improvements this would create for the game:

A.) You can disable someone without killing them. They won't be a threat anymore and you dont have to kill another player in selfdefense. Send them off happilly, shoot them dead as they just think they got away...

B.) You can help someone without getting shot in the face afterwards. In reality you would do the same, why risk your life stupidly? FIRST you make sure you're safe, THEN you help someone.

C.) You can assault someone and then negotiate. Make someone drop food or make them give you blood, while promising not to kill them. Take someone as hostage and negotiate with their friends.

As you can see this would add a multitude of dynamics to the game that would fit very well with the overall survival-theme. I can't imagine it's a very complex feature, so thereas I decided it was well worth leaving it here.

Like the idea, but maybe nicer to just disarm them resulting in weapon to drop on floor a distance away from him? This might give them a chance to grab it when they see an opening and choose to risk their life to get out of the situation.

Also will give them their gun back after being looted (unless the attacker actually took the weapon with him/her).

Sure but that would be a little more complex to do, i was thinking more like quick and dirty to see how it flows.

I would love an option for leg holsters and backup sidearm of some kind in case you get robbed of your main gun :D

If i'm close enough to disarm you of you're main gun, i'm going to take your backup weapons too.

What's your character going to do, snap an m16 over his knee? Take it apart and remove the pin? If you want to disarm someone, drop your backpack and just take their gun, or, better yet, put a few extra rounds in his/her skull. Then you get his food and blood packs fo' free.
