Is there enoush shit north that you can avoid elektro etc?

Recommended Posts

is there enough supplies outside of those two cities to get good gear? I'd rather stay north but am worried we won't find good shit there? Can I avoid the douchebaggery in those cities and still get good gear?

Yes

/thread

I really don't like the /thread people, because they're usually dead wrong. This time, he's right. There is no need to enter either large city, ever. Its just convenient.

Everyone with a SVD or M4A1 CCO SD got it up north. Everyone that has 500+ kills is up north. Everyone that has lived for more then 24hours is up north. There are only two reasons to be in cherno or electro, you spawned there and are on your way north, or your a 12yo who kills all the people that just spawned there.

I only check out Berezino hospital before going north-west. No point in staying on the cost at all. You get best weapons north-west, there is a lot of cities with general stores etc. The only good thing about big cities are hospitals with bloodbags. You are better to be sure you have enough of those before going north-west.

Thanks, I'm pretty newbish, I told my nephew about this and he is really into it, he bought the game, set up a vent server etc. I just want to be able to know where we should go. I heard the North is the safest.

Chern and Elektro have the worst risk to reward loot in the game, the sooner you move north the better.

I usually just check the outskirts of either city before i head north if I spawn right next to them. Usually able to find a map, compass, and watch before I head north.

No, the north is terrible, there is no loot anywhere and you can't move more than 5 feet without aggroing a zombie or getting sniped from 6 miles away by gangs of bandits.

Everyone should stay down south where it's safe :D

This is all good to know, especially since I will be logging in the first time tomorrow, lol, I'll proabably just be running around with my gun pointed in the air, getting killed by everyone, and start raging. But, hey, what's the whole point of noobs anyway? :P

We are good guys, or want to be. We have around three people when I get my woman to play. We don't want trouble, I'm a helpful dude...I want the place where we will find the least amount of douchebaggery. We are friendly but will defend ourselves. But we don't go making trouble for dickish reasons.

If you're looking for high-grade military gear with a high risk/reward, head north-west to the NW Airfield and Stary Sobor.

If you're happy using civillian weapons, you want to be in the north-eastern region, usually 1-2km from the coast, it's generally the most uninhabited area thus the lowest chance of running across dicks and you'll be relatively near Berezino which has a hospital, hotel, supermarket, some enterable apartment blocks and a few vehicle spawns.

There are so many completely abandoned towns and villages up north it's not funny.

I've gotten to the point of almost ignoring watching for other players in certain 'low-traffic' zones. I have survived off barns and deer huts and am overloaded with good gear.

There are even supermarkets in some of these near-abandoned towns (I won't say which I'm talking about, but look at the map and where most people congregate).

When I watch videos of people playing deathmatch at the coast, I can't help but shake my head and wonder why they don't just play COD.

I personally get my military grade weapons from the "douchebaggery" that hang out in Cherno or Electro. 1 Lee Enfield will take down anyone you put your iron sights on, providing they do not quick log. Most of the time I head north instantly, but if I happen to spawn near Electkro or Cherno stop in grab a backpack and some supplies. Sure I have been killed many times there, but really do not lose much, but time. You will find the same "douchebaggery" that hangs in Cherno or Electkro are the same "douchebaggery" that hang in NW Airfield and Stary. No difference except the running time.

Every single time I get myself up north and log out, I get teleported back to the coast on next login. It's really frustrating after doing an hour or so of legwork each time and coming up with survival plans then *plop* I'm in the ocean.

Better yet, we could swing up to the northwest, grab military gear, then go to the northeast to be safer, but still be stocked with military-grade items. I think that would work.

It's an utter nightmare when this happens. Happened to a friend of mine yesterday, spawned on the beach at was near-instantly shot in the face losing everything.

Now that's some BS.
