Map not working for me

So.... i have a map, a compass, a watch but when i press m the map doesn't show my location. I was on a server where it showed it but i got kicked by the admin for no reason. Any other server doesn't display the location. Is it a glitch or have they disabled it?

recruit servers have location-tracking enabled.. on "normal" servers, its a bit more realistic. having a map doesnt mean you have automatically GPS location tracking telling you where you are, you need to read the map and check landmarks or close cities..

so, your map is working as intended..

so basically I'm better off going on the internet with my iPhone and opening a map there... great
