Open arma 2 editor and you will get Chernarus without zombies...

Yep, the Dayz mod came bundled with the ARMA2 addon :), this addon has map editors and even other mods you can play *gasp*. There is also a handy tutorial and boot camp that shows you all basic controls and movements of the game.

Also an Armoury where you can practice driving, all weapons etc. I even used the armoury to improve my grenade throwing skills etc.

The mod is about infected and having to work around them or going through them to get what you want.

It is the whole point of the mod... If you want no zombies then there is a old mod like DayZ with out infected.

I also use editor a lot to test out weapons, practice sniping, try out vehicles, etc.

It is highly not recommended to learn how to fly a heli only when you find it in DayZ :D

Zombies hardly are a limitation.

If you want easy looting - just join a server without players.

I have NEVER died from zombies - they are very easy to avoid and kill.
