Beta mags are 100 round mags for any weapon taking 5.56mm rounds.

Considering that Arma 2 probably doesn't have these in-game already, it would be best for them to be added to the Dayz game instead.

They would spawn at any military spawn loot places but be very rare and take up two slots in your inventory.

id like me own attic where i can produce ammo needed from lead scrap and other ammo

also id like a PSG silenced sniper rifle, thats nice

convert .45 (6 round) to a 7 round 1911 ?

Excellent idea, beta mags would boost a M16 to a lightweight machinegun if needed.

Otherwise this has no priority considering it takes some developmenttime to implement.

It would take as long of development time as it takes to type "100Rnd_556x45_BetaCMag".

If you ask me "should <insert name of any item from arma2> be added?" my answer is YES. Rarity of spawns is different question.

How could I forget about that! Of course you just type in the classname of the new mag and with some funny noise it draws itself a 3D model and implements itself in the game, like magic.

DayZ is a mod on top of Arma2, all items from Arma2 are already there. That is why hackers are able to spawn items and vehicles that aren't in DayZ. All it takes to add an item from Arma2 to DayZ is to type it's name and spawn probability at a proper place in a file called config.cpp and after new version release it will start spawning in DayZ.
