Ok. So Dayz wont update through the Six launcher from 1.7.2.4. to 1.7.2.5..... If someone could link me to a site with a downloadable @dayz folder that is 1.7.2.5 that would be great :lol: Thank u.

What about where does the extracted files go? because i found what seems to be similar and work but its still saying 1.7.2.4

I am waiting for six launcher to update the game. I do not do the downloads and Rocket has said.

He will release to Six when it is stable because as of right now. The game is not stable.

I had trouble updating too. Use Play withSIX program, it runs along with Six Launcher- and Updater.

How I did it: Download and install Play withSIX, start it, choose DayZ and your favorite/home/whatever server.

Click Install. Wait a little, then you can click Play! It works like a charm for me. I'll use Play withSIX until Six Launcher will update DayZ. Just don't run Six Launcher and Verify afterwards. It'll reset DayZ to 2.4, and you'll have to Install via Play withSIX all over again.

1. Install the latest Beta patch(six updater should actually do it already, even though it doesnt update dayz yet.) If its not updated download and install it from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

2. Download latest DayZ patch

You can just download it from the main page here if u want, there are many sites where u can download it.

Depending on where you download it from it may come in packed or unpacked form. If its packed unpack it on ur desktop or somewhere.

3. Put the files (should be 14 of them if i recall) into (your steam folder)/steamapps/common/arma 2 operation arrowhead/@DayZ/addons/ and rewrite the old ones.

For some reason sixlauncher resets it back to the older version it if you start it after doing this so what i do is start it via the Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch shortcut in the operation arrowhead folder.

4. You may need to change the target of the shortcut or not.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash (you can add whatever other parameters u used such as cpu count, maxmem and so on)

Mine for example looks like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;D:\@DayZ" -nosplash -skipintro -cpuCount=4 -world=chernarus maxMem=2047 -noPause

Just dont start sixlauncher after you install it manually, untill sixlauncher also gets the update, otherwise it will revert you back to the older version.
