Dayz/arma 2 freezes on loading screen

When ever i try to join a server on sixlauncher or arma 2 co the game freezes on the loading screen after joining. PLEASE HELP!

if its the last loading screen with the gray letters and it just says loading that happens to me only when i join servers with a lot of players i just takes awhile to load actually it can take a long time if i had to guess it depends on the amount of people that are in the server oh and it doesn't freeze

I'm getting this too. also i noticed that six launcher tells me at every server i try to join that it's outdated, but i'm new to the game and don't really have any idea what versions match. i'm running 1.7.2.4 and the newest server version i can find is 1.62.95885.

EDIT: seems the problem is that servers all switched to 1.7.2.5 prerelease version but this version can't yet be installed via six updater. manual install of 1.7.2.5 will probably fix this?

i got the same problem cince yesterday wen i update sixlauncher,i heard in a tread that if you get dayzcommander it would work but thats all bullshit because it aint working with me. Please fix this ASAP and fo god sakes an update is suppose to make it better not worst. Sometimes it works, but wen i get into the game its lagging very badly, dont know if that would be my computer or some weird coincident but its pissing me off pretty good.also why everytime now i start a game with my survivor i always end up spawnig in the coast with all my gear, i just wasted hours of travelling up north and wen i came back today bang back from the start.

I had this problem earlier today. I fixed it after not being able to find a solution. As far as I can tell, this may only affect Steam purchased versions of the game, but possibly not. To fix the loadscreen hanging problem:

1. Run your Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead as an Adminitstrator by navigating to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead (For Steam purchased copies)

2. Right-click on ArmA2OA.exe

3. Select "Properties"

4. Select the "Compatibility" tab

5. Check the "Run this program as an administrator" box, underneath Privilege Level area.

This worked for me. After I did this, I get past the loading screen and the character selection screen. It then says "Setup Complete". My theory is that they did some sort of server side fix that requires client file changes/checks or something, but cannot be done without administrator privileges, so the program just hangs. I hope this helps the many gamers who were having the same problem as me. Just for the record, I am running DayZCommander v 0.9.0.65; ArmA:OA revision 95913; DayZ v 7.1.2.5

As of today (August 13th, 2012), these are the latest versions of these programs. Let me know if this works for you!
