How does helicopter saving work

Recommended Posts

I know this has been asked before because I've read some of those topics, but the questions weren't asked as specific as I'm going to ask them so here goes. I just found a helicopter, I'm not gonna disclose what the server I found it in is called but lets just say the server name is "US 123". The helicopter needs repairing and since I only play with 1 other friend, it could take us a while to repair this baby.

Questions:

1) When we "save" a vehicle, it only saves the state which the vehicle is in and all the items in it right? It doesn't save the location of the vehicle, that is done every time you get out of the vehicle?

2) So we've found a helicopter in server "US 123", if we were to continue using this helicopter every time we relog, we MUST continue playing in "US 123" is that correct? If we were to fly this helicopter to the airfield, land it and save it there, leave, and then join a different server which is not "US 123", we will not find that helicopter in the airfield?

3) Lets say we fully repair this heli and fly it, then we stop playing for the day and before we log off we save the vehicle. When we log off, does the helicopter disappear while we are gone? Or does it stay there in the server and other players could see it and steal it while we are logged off?

Take up regular patrols though, people wait a long time for someone else to repair a chopper only to steal it from under their nose when they are done.
