Back to 1.7.2.4 I guess...

Recommended Posts

I was really excited for the return of humanity, but every time i load up (fresh spawn or not) my head is wrapped in a towel and I dont have a bookbag on (even though it says i have one on in my inventory). After about 5-10 minutes I suddenly switch to first person (like im putting a ghillie on), when i switch back to 3rd person I am magically a survivor again, Always with 0 humanity regardless of where it was before, often times my backpack will be replaced with the starter (patrol) pack when this happens.

Ive been trying to get the hero skin so I havnt killed anyone since the patch and have fresh spawned 3 or 4 times, Im positive I shouldnt have the bandit skin.

Also, I never had one incident of artifacting before this patch.. everyone complained about it and i didnt even know what they were talking about.

With 1.7.2.5, everytime I approach Cherno, Elektro, Berezino, Bolota Airfield, etc.. I get full screen glitches, completely unplayable. Fiddling with the video settings usually solves it temporarily, but it always comes back when i approach the next big town.

I know many people are having problems with artifacting this patch, but has anyone encountered the bandit skin problem i mentioned first?

Thanks

The graphical glitches were in 1.7.2.4 as well so reverting wont help.

Don't worry, dogs are coming.

Fast, leg-breaking, deadly dogs that are one giant moving artifact factory - you'll see them for coming from kilometers away, and be unable to see to fight them when they attack. Oh, and they can have backpacks, too, and they will be loaded with armed satchel charges. (Actually used by the Russians in 1942 - with hilarious, karma-esque results)

No, not really. I'm sure they'll be cool. Cool enough to already hear the echoes of the whining from those who don't have dogs and die because of them. This new update has just kinda brought out my pessimistic side.

Next, on DayZ forum :

- I hitted my dog when entering a building and I have a broken leg.

- I hitted my dog when entering a building and my dog died.

- My dog stays outside the building and get eaten by zombies.

- My dog get stuck in the wireframes.

- My dog generates visual glitches and I go blind.

- Why does everyone kill my dog.

Fix for the artifacts (Win7):

Open Documents > ArmA 2 > <YourUserProfileName>.ArmA2OAProfile in a text editor.

Find sceneComplexity=500000;

Set it to sceneComplexity=100000;

Your artifacts should go away.

Less crying, more problem solving.

K thanks.

Haha, everyone laugh at this poor misinformed man thinking that the mod was made by a company. Laugh and point!
