Is it required?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if it is required for Operation Arrowhead?

And if it is, then may I ask why?

I only have 20 bucks leftover and I REALLY want to play this game right now. But if I can't play it without it, then might as well wait until I rack the money to get the bundle pack to save 10 bucks.

Thanks to anyone that answers.

OA is required because of the numerous engine improvements included in the expansion, AFAIK DayZ wouldn't be possible without those improvements.

And Operation Arrowhead made the nights look much better. (At least in my opinion)

I thin, I read somewhere that you can use the free version of Arma II and buy operation arrowhead.

Search and see if you can find a thread about it. Proceed at your own risk!

So apparently their is a method that uses ARMA2:FREE + ARMA2:OA to possibly play DayZ.

Has anyone done this, please confirm before I attempt this. :(
