Need help, its complicated.....

Hi I have a tricky one. I gave my friend my arma 2 and amra 2 operation arrowhead. He tried it and liked it and ended up buying it on his own steam. He uninstalled my game after trying it (arma 2 and arma 2 operation), and downloaded his own. The problem is me and him could never be in the same game it would kick him off the game for a reason unlisted (justed saying you have been kicked off the game). The confusing thing about was he could join games on his own just not with me. SO it got me thinking could our cd keys be bound to each other some how (us both using mine) and if so how do we fix it. We then tried him joining a server and then me joining and now I was getting kicked off game for unlisted reason. Please help.

Do you both control 1 account or 2 diffrent accounts?

Its comfirmed that we do have the same keys on regedit..........
