why are the au and nz server freezing on the loading screen

yesterday night my friend and i log on to servers to play on but all of them kept staying on the loading part. has anyone eles experienced this?

A lot of people are experiencing this - this also happening to many people trying to get into US servers.

I personally tried to join a game 15 times throughout the day, and I only got in once. All others got stuck at Loading.
