THis just happened to me too, kidna sucks but someone woulda just shot me soon I guess.

I logged out north up in the map past the NWAF, with a full bag of gear and weapons and ammo and equipment.

Log in today, I'm in a coastal spawn area with no gear. Not even a backpack or a bandege. Same kill-count and blood count, so I didn't die and respawn, just lost all my stuff and started out worse off than even a fresh spawn with no backpack or light.

dont get obsessed with gear because sooner or later u will lose it. U will regret less if u die with low tier gear.

log into a different server, this has fixed the issue for me every time, also works when you randomly die for no reason

I don't get when I see people posting screenshots of themselves with 30 days survived.

How can it be possible when if you don't get nuked by a hacker/scripter, you can just randomly lose all your progress to a glitch that seems commonplace.

Are these just the luckiest people in the world or have I just been extra unlucky with this game.

Yeah tried that. No luck. Still kept respawning on the coast with no backpack and 0 items. I just swam into the ocean and waited to die, at least a fresh spawn gets a bandage and a backpack.

If i could take your bean i'll do it.

I really don't mind dying and going back to the scavenging food and makarov part of the game, but having full gear (nvg, rangefinder, gps, m4a1 sd, coyote pack) log back having nothing (not even backback)

Fine i'll go loot balota air strip (Ak-74, pdw, map, coyote pack) it's allright i,ll do fine with that.

logging back a third time losing all this and not even havign a fucking backpack anymore WTF

If i'd have die fine but this sir is bullshit.....so don't sing me your don't get attach to your gear, when we're talking about bug, and real nasty one.(gamebreaking one actually)

PS: anyone know how to fix this?

PPS: i still have the same debug monitor and ghillie when it happen

OP. At the moment there is no way to progress in this game, you can and will loose everything to bugs, hacks, server restarts and PVP. While the last one is fine and part of the game the other three means that as a game Day Z is broken. But you see its not a game. Its an Alpha test bed that Rocket is using to develop features for the stand alone game.

Yep it sucks, not a lot we can do about it atm I'm afraid. If you find its getting too frustrating, loosing your stuff every five minutes I would suggest you do what I'm doing which is wait for the Stand Alone or at least a stable alpha before going back in.

Other than that, it's a case of gritting your teeth and bearing it I'm afraid. My advice is to do what everyone else is doing. Get a tent and dupe all your shit. It's ruining the game of cause but people feel its justified when 99% of the time they don't loose their gear to a player kill but to bugs hacking and server restarts.

It is possible, depends on the time of day you play and if you play on lo pop servers or hi pop.... the more players on the server, more chance you get hacked. I have a player who has survived the thunderdome and being glitched back to the cost, lost some nice high end gear but didnt lose all my bits. I just get away from the danger zones... load up with gear and continue on.

as to the OP, the problem is at the moment there are so many things that can happen to cause these things, bugs and glitches, hackers, falling off a ladder that you shouldnt etc etc... I think its best in this game to go in with a " Shit might happen" attitude and if you die through glitching you might get annoyed but know that you should expect it in its current state.... If you cant accept it, best to leave the game alone a bit till its fixed up more
