Two Easy Code Changes to Prevent Manipulating Humanity

Recommended Posts

So I've already seen self-aggrandizing discussions about how easy humanity will be to manipulate. This is, of course, very unlikely given the fact that the griefers have negative humanity in the multiples of hundreds of thousands, so no problems there.

But just in case new bandits get any smart ideas, here are two easy ways to solve this that can be added in a hotfix.

  1. Healing bandits doesn't improve humanity.
  2. Attempted murder has a humanity cost equal to patching someone up.

The first could be a simple check similar to bandit kills versus murders. The second would cancel out all attempts at spamming healing/bleeding cycles.
