Spawned w/o gun and edibles

Started playing for the first time last night. I spawned on the coast, at night, with the following items: painkillers, flashlight, a bandage, and some thing I completely forgot. But the point is, I had no gun or food until I died 3 times and was bleeding severely. I was using Six Launcher, and have a very recent version of ArmA II OA. Is it a glitch or in a recent patch (I've watched many YT vids on DayZ so I know what to spawn with) ? Thanks in advance.

The videos you are watching are from gameplay of patches almost 2 months old. You should only spawn with painkiller, bandage, and flashlight. Good luck :) steep learning curve.

Yeah. Its been updated. You don't spawn with any weapon or food/drink. You only get a flashlight, bandage, and painkillers. Good luck!
