DC while flying a Chopper = Death???

Today I found a fully working chopper near the cost andI decided to have a go (first time ever in 3 months). First thing I did when I was in the pilot seat was to quickly learn how to use the controls (yes, I know it's a shame) but whilst flying for over 10 minutes I had to DC to answer the phone and when I logged back on I had no chopper anymore and plunged to death. :o

Is that normal or a is it a glitch in the game?

they are saved in the server, you cant take it with you!

Best thing to kill dumb people?

This game is a simulator so no you won't be able to log off and back on and be in any vehicle.
