Few questions about this mod......

Ok so I might buy Arma 2 and Arrowhead from Steam, but I have few questions about this mod.

So question number 1: Can I run it? My computer isnt the best and Its a laptop... I tried the Arma 2 free and I had to lower the settings a bit to make it run smoothly. So I dont know but does the mod have better graphics than Arma 2 free?

Question number 2: Is it hard to install? Is it just "Next, Next, Accept, Install, Finish" type thing or something kinda more complicated?

Question number 3: Is there alot of servers and can you make one?

To answer all of your questions, your computer will likely chug the game and lag, if you turn all the settings to their lowest option, you might be able to play it. Maybe with some frame-rate issues, but then again, not everyone has a really good computer so we learn to live with it. You will experience drops when near cities or buildings.

There's a nifty site called "CanIRunIt?" or something along those lines, give it a go to get an estimate of what your performance will be.

If you buy from the steam store, the installation is relatively easy, yet some people still have issues with it. Best of luck when you install, I advise Six Updater to install the mod. I've had no problem with it. Just don't click on the servers from the Six Launcher, use the multiplayer menu in ARMA:OA

There are a LOT of servers, and you can make one if you are willing to pull out some dosh.

1. Using Combined Ops instead of Arma Lite will give you much better graphics and sound, if you can run it. Arma Lite uses low res textures and sound files, you can use it with Operation Arrowhead to play Day Z but you'll still mostly have low res graphics because DayZ uses many of the files from Arma 2 or Arma 2 Lite depending on which your using.

2. It's pretty straight forward to install nowadays and using Six launcher or DayZ Commander can make your life a lot easier if your not sure what your doing, also there loads of really simple to follow guides now.

3. There's hundreds of servers now, and you can pay to host your own but I doubt you'll need to unless you want to end up knee deep in admin work.
