Hello, I just started playing DayZ today but had a slight problem. I came across an AK but I don't know how to equip it, pressing f doesn't bring it up in the list of items I can use, so how do I equip it?

When you're facing the gun, just press enter to pick it up.

Or use your mouse wheel and you should see the option "Gear", it will show you everything that is in its loot pile.

Doesn't actually explain how I equip my AK so that I can fire it. I know how to pick items up, its the fact the AK is not selectable unlike my 1911, which is.
