New Maps for Standalone

Im just curious if we are going to get a new map or maps for the standalone. Maps take an incredible amount of time to make but one or more new maps would be great. The community has made some really good maps for ARMA and Im sure they will for dayz as well but I really hope the supported map for dayz standalone isn't Chernerus. I know its modeled after the countryside around BIS headquarters but maybe Dean could do somthing like they did and make a map from NZ. kiwi zeds ftw!

They should add Shipment, Rust, or Nuketown.

I have a feeling that the map(s) will be entirely new and hopefully be quite a bit larger.

They should make one the size of Alaska

Just some food for thought.....I've read that it took a team of Bohemia devs an entire year to make Chernarus. I'd imagine that any original map content will not be available for quite awhile. existing maps are much more likely to be included once they figure out some type of mechanic to make use of them.

Sounds about right. Chernaurus is imo a very well done map. I still have fun with it, so i'm not worried about a new map to be coming soon

A couple of new maps would be very welcome. I'd love to see a map with a huge urban center, something that would take a while to run through, with bridges, tunnels (or a subway), a few skyscrapers, a stadium... ah, to dream,

The maps should only be bigger if there are more players per server.

What would be even better is if the freaking military spawns were better spread out. Having two major cities, and only one location with barracks is kinda dumb from a gameplay perspective.

Limnos and Stratis are the ARMA 3 maps. Dayz is poised to release first so I find this unlikely.
