What are the requirements of this game?

Recommended Posts

Arma 2 - Standalone Game

Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead - Expansion to Arma 2 that can be played Standalone

Arma 2 Combined Operations - Arma 2 + Arma 2 OA Bundle Pack

Dayz can be played only purchasing Operation Arrowhead. But you must install Arma 2 Free To Play Too.

(I might be wrong, but i'm 99.9% sure that i've sayd is correct)

Collectively Arma 2 and op arrowhead are referred to as combined operations. (both products combine and are available as a package)

Basically:

Arma 2 (product available individually)

Op Arrowhead (other product available individually)

Combined : Arma 2 and Arrowhead in a 1 pack. (get both!)

BAF and PMC: official addons and quite good btw.

ACE and ACRE. Not official addon's...Yeah.. start wondering about people around here.

PR 0.15, yeah...

The guys sitting bitching about TOH and air cushions and null vortices yark yark, do us all a favour and just shot them.

As I understand it, at minimum you need;

Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead. They can be purchased individually or as the Arma 2 Combined Arms package (cheaper option)

If you also want Hi-Res textures in game you need to add Arma 2 Private Military Company.

The cheapest route is to get Free Arma2 and buy Operation Arrowhead. This is supposed to work from reports I've read, but the downside is you are stuck with Low-Res textures forever. I would also be suspicious that this option may at some point be disabled at publishers request. (they always want their pound of flesh and then some)
