Arma 2 Combined Operations Says "Bad Serial Number Given in Setup"

I'm not a fu*king retard. I've read all over the internet looking for a fix. Yes, I have run as administrator. Yes, I have restarted my computer. Yes, I have re-installed. Yes, I have verified cache. None of these solutions have worked for me. Whenever I run the game through steam with the launch options set as "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\ArmA 2;EXPANSION;ca" it launches for a second and then closes saying Bad Serial number given at setup. If I run it through the actual ArmA2OA.exe (AS ADMINISTRATOR) I STILL GET THE ERROR MESSAGE. Then I try to do the beta patch to see if this will fix it, and it says Wrong CD Key. I know other people are having this problem and Im sure there is a solution. (I have also run DayZ out of 6Launcher. Same problem) This is only Arma2OA. Arma2 works just fine.

1, Run REGEDIT

2, Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

3, Expand Software

4, Expand Wow6432Node

5, Expand Bohemia Interactive Studio Not Bohemia Interactive

6, Click ArmA 2 OA, If you only see 1 file named "(Default)" And type REG_SZ then,

7, Right click the ArmA 2 OA file and go to Permissions

8, Left click YOUR USER, NOT! Users

9, After selecting your user click on Advanced

10, Yet Again click on your username for your pc and click on edit

11, In the drop down menu select This Key and Subkeys

12, You will see allow and deny make sure all allow boxes are ticked then click ok

13, you will be taken back one Dialogue box, Click Apply and OK and the same again on the

next dialogue box.

14, Now you should see 4 files sat in your ArmA 2 OA folder, Names, "(Default)" "Data" "Key" & "main"

15, Now play your game

have you used six updater to install the mod / update the beta and launch both game (without the mod) ? (launch through six).

1, Run REGEDIT

2, Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

3, Expand Software

4, Expand Wow6432Node

5, Expand Bohemia Interactive Studio Not Bohemia Interactive

6, Click ArmA 2 OA, If you only see 1 file named "(Default)" And type REG_SZ then,

7, Right click the ArmA 2 OA file and go to Permissions

8, Left click YOUR USER, NOT! Users

9, After selecting your user click on Advanced

10, Yet Again click on your username for your pc and click on edit

11, In the drop down menu select This Key and Subkeys

12, You will see allow and deny make sure all allow boxes are ticked then click ok

13, you will be taken back one Dialogue box, Click Apply and OK and the same again on the

next dialogue box.

Just like HanoverFist said; before running DayZ make sure you've started both ARMA2 and ARMA2: Operation Arrowhead (and available DLC's) to set the CD KEYS.This will fix problem and has been told a lot of times at the forums and the FAQ.

Op, that didn't fix my shit. The one time. The one time, I try and play a mod. I hardly play mods, but when I do they are the ones that have to be good and popular. I attempted to install this DayZ mod. A huge fucken mistake. It worked once, never worked again. I now cannot play Arma II or Arma II Operation Arrowhead. The instructions above did not work, and yes I am sure I did that correct. I have tried everything. Re-install. Delete all key values in both Folders on regedit, the OPs Fix above, vertify cache, re-install both five times.. I am so pissed. All I want to do, is play Arma II. That is all. I am not asking for much. I am so close to smashing my rig right now. Very close. This is also why I try to avoid mods as much as possible because in the past they have fucked me over. Perfect example as to of right now. I also have had it, I am never playing a mod again.

Some issues here nr 5 does not exist on my pc. After that point I get fucking confused left click here and there. I instaled Arma2 with steam so... I have lots of files named "Arma2OA" files....

Could you make it alittle more detailed?
