Stuck at Loading after Server Patch to 1.7.2.5 and 95883

Recommended Posts

I cannot load into my server after this last patch.

I completely reinstalled arrowhead and manually updated the game to 95883. I then launched six launcher and it did an update and i cannot join any servers at all now.

Also when i load into Arma 2, my game version is showing 1.7.2.4 not the most recent which should be showing since this is fresh install.

start the beta launch not the standard launch exe?

Or change your launch options in steam to launch the beta update version

Launching from the "Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch" shortcut does not fix problem. i load completely into the lobby and then when i go to load into game it gets stuck at black loading screen.

Make sure you've downloaded the two BattlEye DLLs and replaced the old pair in both BattlEye folders (one in ARMA2 dir and other in expansion dir).

I am able to load into any server running the newest files just fine. For some reason DayZ Commander and Six Updater are not updating the dayz files right. Here are the steps I took

Downloaded the newest beta and installed it - http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

Download the dayz files manually and update them - http://se1.dayz.nu/latest/

I have an alternate download link if the download speed on that is too slow.

You manually updated then let six launcher auto downdate it.

If you really must run DayZ through six launcher run six launcher first.

Then manually update while it's still running.

Then click launch or join your server.

Edit: I made the same mistake but quickly realized it.

I personally only use six updater once a day to check for updates and use steam every other time.

I use to do that, but I needed a server list with optional updating. Its pretty nice and even shows your server when its not querying

Hi,

I downloaded this http://se1.dayz.nu/latest/ and extracted the files into my DayZ addons folder, replacing the old ones.

DayZ Commander tells me I already have - http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php - So no need to update that

However Day Z commander still says I'm on 1.7.2.4 - I can't join either 1.7.2.4 or 1.7.2.5 servers

Anyone have a solution to this problem or can tell me what I did wrong?

Thank you.

Hey Ryahn,

I copied them into the @DayZ/addons folder thus overriding all files in that folder with the new ones. I notice there is another Addons folder within addons that's empty.

I can only join servers with version 1.62.95417 / 1.7.2.4

Anything else I could try to resolve the issue?

i see the same thing in my steam files, theres 2 addons folder. on has slightly different .gz extensions and the other folder seems to have the current version of the pbo files from the torrent. so i dint know what thats all about, might be the issue if the manual files are going into the wrong steam folder. spme precise clarification would be nice.

ive tried several things and still if i update the server with the provided filed from HFB servers, then manually put the torrented lastest files into the add ons folder and launch the game thru steam, from arma co from six w/e and even downloaded dayz commander, i cant join into any servers, or i get stuck on a loading screen.

so i reverted our server to the old working version and now i cant join our own server. sigh, normally mods and popping files here and there is par for the course with a mod....but this is stupid silly shit. i know its not that hard to put everything into a simple installer. with over 1 million people downloaded this mod...not everyone is going to be arma2 mod pro.

would be nice to let my server run the latest version, and be able to join it. i have searched and searched this forums. rocket or one of his minions needs to put up a proper install sticky. so people stop making threads like this and getting no help. sorry HFB dude your way didnt work for me or others. and we rent a HFB server. cant even load into the server we pay for *shakes head.*
