Six Launcher/ ARMA II

Recommended Posts

I'm currently unable to use the Six Launcher to update so I can join Day Z servers. It was working fine a few days ago on my initial install, but I missed flying Helicopters in ARMA II and since I installed the Day Z mod I was no longer able to connect to the regular sevrers in the ARMA II client. So I uninstalled ARMA II and reinstalled it, which presented it's own problems. So I removed the Six Launcher and all of the Day Z files form my computer, along with the ARMA II expansions, and reinstalled everything in order. Now I'm at the stage of needing to let the Six Launcher update before I can click Launch, but everytime I hit update it goes through a few sequences and bricks my entire computer-- shuts it down. This is beyond ridiculous, as it was working as late as yesterday. Searching the web has yielded little result for trouble shooting, has anyone here had similar problems/know what I'm experiencing? Thx

Interesting. The only times I've had to use the task manager is when I'm connecting to a server and it leaves me hanging on the "Loading..." screen. It may be an issue with the command the program goes through when I hit update, because I just hit the quick match button and I was actually able to update that way. Now I can verify/launch after shutdown without issue.

You do not have to reinstall your game to be able to play regular arma !

You should just have disabled the dayz mod.

Figure out the six updater and learn how to make a PRESET (im going to bed no time to explain) read the sixupdater manual on there page.

Maybe deinstall the whole lott one more time and set it up right this time, make sure all is removed from your pc before you start to install from scratch.

Make sure to download all official updates for the game from the official site or Steam if that is your thing, i dont have the game of steam.

Then back to sixupdater, check the "right click" commands over your PRESETS ! options to update and to create a desktop shortcut with the correct startup parimeters.

Im off now, good luck
