Are AS50 and M107 even worth taking anymore?

If you can't regain ammo and you have to find a new gun to get ammo is it even worth using them now? M24 seems like it's the top tier sniper now?

The 1.7.2.5 fixed the ammo glitch, sir....Try reading announcements once in awhile.

That being if you use M107 clips for it. The AS50 clips only have 5 rounds per mag. and is so bloody rare.

In many hours of DayZ, I've seen a single AS50 at a heli crash, which had 5 shots.... I wasted them :|

i def prefer the m24 due to it being so easy for ammo, as great as those guns are i just hate having to get so lucky to even find ammo for them. if you have the ammo they are def the best to go but otherwise i would pass it up

Well i dropped my M107 and 10 round for M24 and lots of round because this patch i don't like the ammo thing :(

And thats not to mention it uses the 7.62 as M14 aimpoint and DMR, which mags can be actually converted for the M24. To be quite honest IMO only noobs and badshots need AS50..

A clean shot to the engine block and the vehicle is done for. So yes, it does have its benefits. I would agree its overkill and not really needed against players though..

with a AS50 you can one shot a player from 800m away, I'd say it's worth a lot! and they fixed it in the next patch.
