imo M4A3 CCO is better for the noise. But you can find more mags for the akm.

You can compare the stats.

AKM is super common, and ammo is everywhere for it. It can zero up to 800m but is only effective to 400 meters, and is also super loud.

M4a3 also has super common ammo, and has a nice Red dot reflex sight. Slightly less damage than the AKM Effective range of 300 meters, but is almost half the loudness.

If you want power, go for AKM. If you want accuracy go for the M4. Ive had so long range kills with the M4 thanks to the red dot.

I also swap the AKM for anything 5.56 as soon as I can...just for the noise. Honestly, I have no problem pulling the trigger an extra time to finish off someone/something. Learn to do that with My M4A1 CCO SD. It's better in my limited opinion to make less noise and more accurate shots than more noise hoping I kill things faster.
