Are we able to fire off the backs of ATV's and Dirtbikes?

I have driven a lot of vehicles, but I have yet to be a passenger on anything but a truck. Is it possible to fire as the passenger while on the back of an ATV or Dirtbike?

I used the search and found a lot of vehicle threads but nothing I could see to answer my question...So i am looking to the community for the answer.
