Huge lag after playing for 3-5 hours

Recommended Posts

After 3-5 hours my game starts to lag HORRIBLY. It lags even on Half-life 1!!! Restarting my computer fixes it. My graphics card is ASUS GTX 550 TI TOP DIRECTCU II 1GB and my processor is a AMD phenom II X6 1055T @ 2.8 GHZ core clock and 3.2(?) GHZ turbo clock. I dont see why it starts lagging. Please help!!! >:(

Does your system get particularly hot? Normally I'd expect to see graphical artefacts for this problem, but you never know. Install some desktop gadgets or other monitoring tools and keep an eye on it.

Have you got much RAM?

How are you hard disks for space?

40-55 Celsius while ingame 20-35 C out of game CPU stays between 25-40 and i have 4GB's of ram. My case is an antec 900.

the card usually stays at 45 unless its something REALLY requiring

harddisk space is at 450gb's out of 950gbs

After a few hours arma 2/dayz starts to eat up all my ram, usually just restarting dayz by exiting completely out fixes this issue for me. You must have some program w a memory leak, do you use google chrome? It too for some reason starts to eat my ram after quite a few hours open.
