breyz 0 Posted May 27, 2012 Make a new GUI so the GUI doesn't look anything like old ARMA, including menus, inventory and all that.
breyz 0 Posted May 27, 2012 Uhm, because why should games have the same GUI as one and another? All games should have its own GUI.The default ARMA GUI is clunky, at best.It will also give the game more identity and atmosphere.
hazdude222 0 Posted May 27, 2012 The GUI works fine, better to spend time actually making the game.
breyz 0 Posted May 27, 2012 I would also appreciate some custom loading screens. That certainly isn't something that takes a lot of resources. Some cool screenshots from Day Z with the Day Z logo would be enough.
Razor (DayZ) 0 Posted May 27, 2012 From the screenshot contests there already are!Now this is a good suggestion.
Rico (DayZ) 99 Posted May 27, 2012 There is a lot to work to do on dayz, i think that the GUI will be the last thing.
breyz 0 Posted May 27, 2012 You see this website? It doesn't look like ARMA website does it? Having an identity is important. What do you think a new player who tries Day Z thinks of selecting Blufor when he starts the game? Just doesn't make any sense. Just one example.Anyone who argues against a game having its own GUI and identity is just crazy.Yes, it will probably not be first thing done. But it should certainly be done at one point. kurozael 22 Posted May 27, 2012 I agree a new GUI skin is needed for the inventory and menus and such forth to give the game some identity. Custom loading screen would be awesome too.You could say that this should be done last but I think doing so earlier will be advantageous so players can get used to any UI changes sooner rather than later.
