Giving a use to the empty cans

Recommended Posts

I was talking with my buddy about how every building always seems to have a plethora of tin cans, so I got to thinking.

What if you were able to throw tin cans?

Pros:

-Temporarily distract zombies, causing them to turn and move towards wherever the can landed for three seconds.

Cons:

-Does not go very far due to it's weight (max throw distance=ten metres)

-The distance the sound travels is small (five-ten metres/sixteen-thirty two feet) so you have to be relatively accurate if you want to distract more than one zed.

-Once the zombies lose interest in the can (after three seconds) the zombies gain a temporary (sixty seconds) heightened sense of hearing/seeing to find the cause of the disturbance. During this time they also do not fall for the tin can trick.

-Obviously would take up one slot. Less room for ammo, so it is good for people who have just spawned, but useless once you acquire smoke grenades.

-If you actually hit the zombie with it, they get aggro'd to you.

Discuss my stupid idea below and things that should be added/removed.

Already able to throw tin cans/empty whiskey bottles ingame to distract zeds. Pick one up and press f until it says: 'throwable object' then tap the button for a weak throw or hold it down to throw it really far.
