Barns, why don't you have loot?

Playing DayZ at the minute and i have came across 2 barns north of elektrozavodsk on a normal loot run and both are empty. Not even a tin can. Is this a bug or am i EXTREMLEY unlucky for there to be no loot in the barns?

extremely unlucky. me and my friends just found that 3 of the hangars in NW airfield were empty. not a living soul (beside us) was there.

That means it was already looted.

Was it a low pop server?

There's a chance the loot hadn't spawned yet, as nobody had been nearby to trigger it until you wandered over.

Its a 15-30 people on at a time and i met a guy in north elektro who had given me a blood transfusion.
