Spawning

I spawned in the wilderness with nothing around me no zombies or anything and i have been running for an hour and haven't seen anything any help would be helpful.

Perhaps the most difficult part of this game is learning how to recognize where you are when you are spawned. Many rely on the game telling you...it's written in the lower right when you spawn. However, in your case I'm assuming it read Wilderness. Either way, you have to learn how to find yourself on the map.

Pay attention to the topography of the map. A very good thing to know is CLOUD MOVEMENT. The clouds always travel directly EAST. Should you run the direction of the clouds, eventually you will reach the coastline. Hopefully you will encounter a town before that happens.

Also note, most towns and cities have a sign on the main road in and out of them telling you their name.
