New Players DayZ may not be for you

Recommended Posts

I only write this because New Players may not realize that choices in this game are up to the player. If they feel running around and killing everyone is how they would perceive end time zombie attack.. then by all means they have all the right to do so. If you feel you like grouping up and making it with friends and being nice to everyone.. then by all means you can. If you get killed by someone who isn't nice.. Learn from it. The world is not a nice place, and a time when morals are in question you can be assured there would be people shooting first and asking questions later. The reason I type this is, if you can't be killed by a "meanie" player.. This game is probably not for you. I didn't see much of this explained in the Begginers threads, so take it for what it's worth.. How you play is not always how someone else would.. It's about choices.

I agree this game is pretty much only for Hardcore gamers, but I think that's why people are attracted to it. The unrelenting, unforgiving nature of the mod has become almost legendary within the gaming community, and is actually drawing people in as opposed to putting them off.

Especially in a market where videogames are becoming increasingly softer, with too much hand-holding.
