Want to move account onto new computer

I recently got a new pc and reinstalled arma 2, dayz mod and what not. When i get on dayz it doesn't have my saved account with my old character and stuff with it. What i'm asking is am i going to have to start a new character and get all my stuff again or is there some way i could get my character from the old computer and import it onto this new one? Any help would be much appreciated.

If you reinstalled it with the same CD key or from the same steam account you will have your same character. You do not need to do anything.

Ok I guess the same name isn't there but it will have all my stuff thanks
