Waiting4nxtPatch and dogs...

So it looks like we're stuck with the graphical artifact issue until rocket figures out how to implement dogs...f#ck...

Why the hell do we need dogs? Think of how easy it is to die in this game. How long is a 4 legged, barking, (crappy)AI controlled dog going to last in the world of dayz? 1 trip to electro/cherno/starry/NWAF, that's how long.

I don't see them being of any use unless:

1)They Can carry things(doggy backpacks?lol)

2)They move fast/erratically like zombies and attack other players for large amounts of damage.

3)They can be ordered to silently guard camps(this would actually be pretty fkn cool, as long as they don't bark and give away camp location)

I think this is silly. What are they going to add to the mod as a whole? They're just zombies that can run faster than you, probably. Great. Buggy textures, hackers and bugs in general still working as planned? Awesome.

alpha - add ideas

beta - fix ideas

i'm looking forward to dogs more than i'm looking forward to a graphics fix.

I'm looking forward to them patching out all the dupe methods. Everyone I've PVP'd with in the past week or so has had god tier weapons+gear (AS50,MK48,NVG,etc).

I get that we're still in alpha, but it would be nice if they fixed some of the 'ideas' so that the game remained some what playable/fun.

It seems pointless to introduce dogs at the moment. It's only going to result in a slew of posts like 'Hackers killed my dog!', 'I was thunderdomed and now Fido is stuck in the wilderness!' and, last but not least, 'Hackers turned my dog into a goat!'.

And they'd be right. Fuck dogs, fix hacking.
