darkhairedirish 1 Posted May 27, 2012 Me and a few friends decided to get Arma II and Arma II: Operation Arrowhead to play DayZ. All four of my friends got the mod working but I can't seem to get it to launch combined ops. I recently acquired it through Steam through the Arma X Anniversary Edition. Then I ran the game, both Arma II and OA then installed DayZ. I couldn't get CO to run even without DayZ. I tried re-installing everything multiple times, running in administrator, reviewing file integrity, and looking around on the forums for help. Which is now what I'm asking anyone reading this for. Thank-you in advance.EDIT: This is my fix, I had to do the second one.1. Exit Steam.2. Right-click on Steam icon.3. Left-click on "Run As Administrator".4. Run Arma 2.5. Run OA.6. Now try to run CO again. If that doesn't work, please re-install Steam:1. Go to Steam's installation folder.2. Delete everything there except "steam.exe" and "steamapps" folder.3. Run "steam.exe" - Steam will reinstall itself automatically.4. Continue from step 1 of the previous how-to.
KimVonDeath 1 Posted May 27, 2012 Hi there! Run Arma 2 (vanilla) and operation arrowhead alone too. Just run em, and close em. Then you will try to run CO :)
darkhairedirish 1 Posted May 27, 2012 Sadly, that didn't solve my problem but thank-you for the effort. When I ran them separately they worked fine. But when I ran combined ops, it starts up command prompt, which closes so fast I can't read it, and the Steam "Preparing to launch Arma II: Combined Operations." If anyone can tell me where to find what the command prompt says, I'd really appreciate it.
