How i can request Serverdetails from the Hive/Server

Recommended Posts

Hello,

in my summer vacation I wanted to code a server browser with player search.

My question is, how i can request data and game details from the hive or the server ?

The Ingame ARMA browser is able to request playernames and versionnumbers of beta patches, battle eye etc.

Is there any API or protocoll which I can use for this ?

Greetings Danny

From what I have read on the forums and offical posts, there currently is no public API or Protocoll, this is because alot of character data is saved in the hive and you could expose i.e vehicle locations and player gear/locations.

But the SixLauncher and other serverbrowser have to request the serverlist and details from the hive, or am I wrong ?

Maybe SixLauncher etc have the exclusive access data for those requests ?

Thats not from Hive, its from GameSpy -_- hive only stores server specific details such as objects (tents/vehicles) and player stuff like equipment, medical condition and location.
